We have spent the last few classes making an online store on Tictail.com. I made a website called OrdinaryMLGNoScoperStore. Some of the features on this website is that you have some more advanced features without paying. You can add 10 items or more if you would like, and you can set it up with PayPal. You can visit Tictail or my site by clicking the links above.
1. Amazon.com: on this website you can buy almost anything here by searching for it on the search bar or look at the categories. Big companies and regular people can sell their things on this website. Link here.
2. Ebay.com: You can look things up by searching for them or you can look by category. People can sell their own things on here by auction or "buy it now" price. Link here. 3. Craigslist.org: This website goes by local areas or by large areas. Examples being Salina, KS and Southwest KS. Anyone can make a profile on here and sell whatever they want to sell. Anyone can get on Craigslist and e-mail the owner of the item or call them to buy the item. Link here. 4. Gamestop.com: A retail site that sells games. You can search any game or game system and buy it off of this website. Link here. 5. Dick's Sporting Goods: An athletic retailer site where you can search for whatever you want and buy it. Link here. Hello again. Last class we made a online store for our assignment. We put 5 products in the store (5 is all weebly allows for a free website). You can't buy them either because weebly doesn't allow the free websites to actually sell products. So we put whatever we wanted in the store to sell. You can visit the one I made here.
E-commerce: Online shopping
This is how businesses make money this days because it is the easiest way to buy items from big stores if you live in towns like Abilene. You can buy things online and have them arrive at your door the next day. Last class we looked at e-commerce, also known as online shopping. We looked up one product that we want, and looked at the price and shipping on three different websites.
I looked up baseball cleats and found a pair that I liked, the ones I found are the Under Armour Deception Men's DT Low Baseball Cleats. Here is what I found: $99.99 + Free Shipping @ Eastbay $99.99 + Free Shipping @ Academy Sports and Outdoors $99.99 + Free Shipping @ Dick’s Sporting Goods They were all the same. I'm pretty boring with my choice I guess. For the last few classes we have been looking at Google Tools/Products, such as Google Drive, Docs, Maps, Earth, etc. I will be talking about three of Google's Tools/Products. First, I will tell you about Google Drive. Google Drive is a handy tool that allows you to store your files on your computer in "the cloud" that is Google's servers. A free Google email will allow you 50GB of storage for almost every type of file that a usual user would have. You can also organize your files with the folder system in Google Drive. Second, I will talk about Google Earth/Maps. Google put these together in Google Maps, so I will just talk about them both. Maps is exactly what it's named, maps! You can explore the world with the click of a mouse! You can find directions to almost anywhere (trust me I looked at that) and you can see the world with the added in Google Earth feature. You can also choose what type of transportation you will use to travel to your destination, like a bike, car, or plane. Lastly, I will tell you about Google Docs. This is a word processing software just like Pages, or Microsoft Word. You can choose a preset for your document such as a brochure, or a blank document. Docs is integrated with Drive, so you can save your documents. But, with the Drive feature, you can reopen the document in your Drive and it automatically opens in Docs. That's it, thanks for reading!
