Last class we looked at Firefox and Google Chrome addons. These are customizations to your browser that can make your experience faster, more efficient, and even fun. Firefox and Chrome both offer a big variety of addons, for example, Play Piano and Play Drums are both fun things to do when you are bored. Also, a game called Destroy the Web lets you click on things in your browser to "destroy" them to earn points and you try to get as many points as possible. There are also handy add ons like Google Define where you can define any word in a few seconds without having to go to google and search for it. Finally, there are styling add ons that allow you to style any website to your liking. You can visit Chrome Add Ons here, and Firefox Add Ons here.

Last class we visited two new websites. They were called Feedjit and Flag Counter. They are two different ways to track if people have visited your blog/website. Feedjit is a live feed that will tell you where they are from, what website they came from, what type of computer they were using, and what operating system they were on. Flag Counter tells you how many views your page has and how many people have visited your website from a specific country.
If you would like to use these for you own website/blog, click here for Feedjit, and click here for Flag Counter. Today in class we visited a website called Voki. Voki is a website where you can create a character, ironically called a voki, and you can make Obama, yourself, or any other person you want. You can also save the voki and put it on your website, or you can save it on the voki website to have fun with your own characters! Click the image below to visit Voki. Summary: This website allows you to bookmark your favorite pages in the form of tiles. Each page is called a webmix, you can share your webmix with other people so if you have say a page about books, you can share it with anyone who uses Symbaloo.
